•  Dog Licenses
  •  All dogs over 4 months of age are required to be licensed. The license may be purchased from the Hawaiian Humane Society, at any Satellite City Hall, or by mail. Download the PDF* application form here.
  •  Fee:
    • $10 for dogs 4 months through 7 months
    • $10 for neutered dogs 8 months or older. The veterinary certificate that affirms neutering must be submitted with the application. Download this PDF* form here.
    • $28.50 for UNNEUTERED dogs 8 months old and over.

  Applicant must be 18 years old. Licenses expire on December 31 of every second year and must be renewed on or before March 10 following the expiration date.
  
  If your dog has been tattooed with a number or microchipped, note the number on the application.

  Signature required. Include a check for the appropriate amount payable to "City & County of Honolulu." For multiple animals, use a separate form for each and include all fees on one check. Include the veterinary certificate for each neutered animal.

•  Neuter Now
  •  The City & County of Honolulu, the Hawaiian Humane Society and Oahu veterinarians jointly support Neuter Now, a program that provides low-cost spaying and neutering for owned dogs.
•  How does it work?
  •  Neuter Now certificates are valid for three months. There are two levels of fees.
  •  For Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cardholders
    • $20 for any cat or dog.
    • No other charges may be added.
    • Neuter Now certificates for EBT cardholders must be purchased in person by the animal's owner and the cardholder must show their EBT card and a government-issued photo I.D. at the time of purchase.
  •  For all other Oahu residents
    • $50 for a male dog
    • $75 for a female dog

Purchase a sterilization certificate at the Hawaiian Humane Society or any Satellite City Hall. Non-EBT Neuter Now certificates may be purchased in person or via fax or mail; see below.

We will then mail the Neuter Now certificate to you. NOTE: EBT Neuter Now certificates must be purchased in person at the Hawaiian Humane Society or any Satellite City Hall.

Call one of the Participating Veterinarians to make an appointment for a presurgical examination and the surgery. The Neuter Now certificate covers the cost of the presurgical exam and the surgery. Certificates are valid for 3 months.

Who is eligible for Neuter Now?This subsidized service is available to all residents of Oahu. If you are under age 18, a parent or guardian must sign the sterilization certificate.
